WiFi Access Points
The function of a wifi access point is simply to create a wifi network, to expand your cable network (LAN) , to connect two cable networks to each other (bridge mode) or to integrate a device which has no wifi but lan function to a wifi network (station mode).
As a rule an wifi access point with two or more antennas (MIMO) has a higher range than an acces point with one antenna. An accesspoint with visible antennas has a higher range then an accesspoint with internal, non-visible antennas.
