Ubiquiti Rocket 5 AC PTP / RM5AC-PTP
The Rocket-5ac PTP is ideal for deployment in Point-to-Point (PtP) applications requiring the maximum performance. You have the freedom to locate, deploy, and operate the Rocket5ac PTMP anywhere in the world. It allows for a high degree of flexibility in configuring channel bandwidths: 20, 40, 50, 60, and/or 80 MHz, depending on local country regulations.
It features incredible range performance of up to 50+ km and a breakthrough speed of up to 500+ Mbps real TCP/IP throughput.
The Rocket5ac PTP radio can be paired with a RocketDish or Sector AC antenna to create the endpoint of a high-performance, Point-to-Point (PtP) backhaul.
High data rates require a high Signal to Noise Ratio (SNR), which is challenging to achieve, especially in noisy, high density areas. Integrated into Ubiquiti's custom silicon, airPrism technology creates a high SNR by isolating signals within the operating channel and rejecting interference using specialized circuitry, the High Selectivity Receiver (HSR).
Depending on the operating mode, available channel widths include 10, 20, 30, 40, 50, 60, and/or 80 MHz. Theoretically APs operate on different channels; however, because of the wider channel bandwidths, there can be overlap in spectrum usage. airPrism technology removes up to an additional 30+ dB of adjacent channel interference through the active filtering design, so an airMAX ac AP with airPrism technology can provide significantly greater performance than a typical AP.
Co-location is vital in many scenarios. For example, a WISP may have limited tower space, so it must co-locate all APs within that allotted footprint. Shielding and other means can lessen interference but may be impractical. By deploying airMAX ac APs with airPrism technology, you can co-locate APs and enhance the overall performance of your wireless network.
The airPRISM chip of the Rocket 5AC PTP is designed for upper channel sizes from 40-80 MHz.
Rocket 5AC-PTP has integrated Ubiquiti airSync technology. airSync enhances the hardware and software of the Rocket to utilize GPS signals for precision timing. GPS Signal Reporting airOS was upgraded to take full advantage of the new GPS hardware in the Rocket5 AC Lite. Easily manage and monitor GPS satellite signals. No Co-Location Interference Synchronized transmission among Rocket5AC-PTP stations effectively eliminates co-location interference.
Power over Ethernet
The power supplication of the Rocket 5AC-PTP is done by passive Power over Ethernet (PoE) technique. This method allows you to transmit the needed power for the Rocket through the Ethernet cable which is used to connect the Rocket 5AC to your network. You do not need to install any wired power cord. The PoE Injector is included.
